Quality Care, Risk Management and Economics: lessons learned from the first four months of the CDCP
About this Seminar
The CDCP brought unprecedented changes to the dental profession over the past few months, and the program is still in its infancy. Many dentists are reporting seeing patients who have avoided dental offices for years. Some of these patients require significant dental treatments, which doesn't always correspond to the procedures covered under this new federal plan. In November, the CDCP will enter a new phase, with patients hoping to receive major work requiring preauthorization.
This session will share practice management insights and risk management learnings distilled from hundreds of dentists across the province and country who have been treating CDCP members for several months. Dentists will learn how to talk to patients about the CDCP, tips and pitfalls in scheduling new patients under the plan, how to ensure patient records stand up to audits, and how to navigate new and emerging risks that stem from the plan's unique structure and rollout.
